Abstract

This thesis is written with the subject "The effect of Reels Instagram on the results of vocabulary learning in the eleventh grade at the State High School 2 Agam (West Sumatra)". In this age, teachers must use various technology-based teaching medias, especially in vocabulary learning. The main question in this thesis is whether Reels Instagram affects the results of vocabulary learning in the eleventh grade at the State High School 2 Agam (West Sumatra)? The objectives of this research are: to know the results of vocabulary learning before using Reels Instagram, to show the use of Reels Instagram in vocabulary learning, and to reveal the effect of using Reels Instagram on the results of vocabulary learning in the eleventh grade at the State High School 2 Agam (West Sumatra). The approach used in this research is the quantitative approach to the experimental research methodology on field research. The research design is a semi-experimental design (Pre Experimental Design) with the type of group design with the pre- and post-control test (One Group Pretest-Posttest Design). The method of data collection is the vocabulary test and documents, and the researcher used to analyze the research with the database of the test (Uji Normalitas) and the test (T-Test) using the SPSS 30 program. The results of this research are that the ability of the results of vocabulary learning to students in the eleventh grade in the State High School 2 Agam before using the method of Reels Instagram obtained the result of the pre-test in the eleventh grade with an average value of 63.45 on a grade of "poor". The use of Reels Instagram in vocabulary learning consisted of three steps, introductory activities and main activities final activities. The main activities consist of observation, questioning, experimentation and connection, communication, and the third final activities. And the result of the hypothesis test is Sig (two-sided p) is 0.001 less than 0.05 and the researcher concluded that the morphological hypothesis (H0) is returned and the practical hypothesis (Ha) is acceptable. That is, the use of Reels Instagram may affect the results of vocabulary instruction in the eleventh grade at the State High School 2 Agam.
