Abstract
This study aims to identify the types of Information and Communication Technology (ICT)-based media used by teachers in teaching English and to analysed how these media are utilized in the learning process. The study was conducted at MAN 1 Padang, with the research subject being an English teacher who teaches at two grade levels, namely grades X and XI. The approach used was qualitative with a case study method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and triangulation, then analysed through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and verification. The results of the study showed that teachers used several main ICT-based media, namely (1) laptops, (2) projectors, (3) audio speakers, (4) PowerPoint, (5) YouTube videos, (6) students' smartphones, and (7) interactive applications such as Kahoot and Quizizz. This media not only supports visual and engaging material delivery but also actively engages students through interactive exercises and quizzes. Utilizing this media fosters various language skills, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Overall, the use of ICT-based digital media at MAN 1 Padang creates a more interactive, enjoyable, and accessible learning process for students, while also supporting the achievement of English language learning objectives.
