Abstract

This study presents the design of a campus facility lending and rental information system at UIN Imam Bonjol Padang. Currently, the process of lending and renting campus facilities is still carried out conventionally. In the rental process, the public is required to come to the rental location in person and pay the rental fee on the spot to rent. Meanwhile, for the borrowing process, the academic community must go directly to the manager to inquire about facility availability. Submission of permit letters must also be done manually and requires a long time to receive loan approval. The lack of real-time information updates regarding the status of letters and facility usage schedules creates uncertainty, so that the community often has to contact the manager repeatedly. To overcome these problems, the author proposes a solution in the form of a more structured facility lending and rental information system that can shorten the time. This system was developed using the waterfall method with a UML modeling approach, starting from the needs analysis to the testing phase. The results of System Usability Scale (SUS) showed a score of 565 out of 600, or 94.1%, which is included in the "Very Good" category. Trials and surveys have shown that this system has received a positive response from the campus community, administrators, and the public. This system is expected to facilitate the borrowing and rental process.
