Abstract

The study aimed to describe English teacher’s strategies in teaching integrated English skills is mostly used in teaching at tenth SMA Kartika 1-5 Padang A qualitative research type was used to conduct the research. Respondent of this research is English teacher who was teaching English at SMA Kartika 1 -5 Padang. Technique of data collection were observation, interview and documentation. Data reduction, data display, and data drawing/ verification were used to analyze the data. The result of the research showed that brainstorming and small-group discussion were mostly used for teaching English skills. It is concluded that English teacher was lack of strategy for teaching English. It implies that English teacher should create communicative teaching strategy in integrating English skills in teaching process. Keyword: Teaching, Teacher’s Strategy
