Abstract
The development of telemedicine services in Indonesia has provided easier access to digital healthcare services; however, its use still faces challenges related to user trust and perceived risk, particularly in terms of personal data security, service reliability, and the possibility of misdiagnosis in online consultations. This study analyzes the effect of Trust, Perceived Risk, Perceived Ease of Use, and Perceived Usefulness on Behavior Intention, as well as the effect of Trust, Perceived Risk, and Perceived Ease of Use on Perceived Usefulness in the use of Halodoc telemedicine services based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). This study employed an explanatory quantitative approach with a purposive sampling technique. The respondents consisted of 200 university students in Indonesia who had used the doctor consultation feature on the Halodoc application at least once in the last six months. Data were collected through an online questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4. The results showed that Trust had a positive and significant effect on Perceived Usefulness, while Perceived Risk had a negative and significant effect on Behavior Intention. Meanwhile, Trust had no significant effect on Behavior Intention, Perceived Risk had no significant effect on Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use had no significant effect on either Perceived Usefulness or Behavior Intention, and Perceived Usefulness had no significant effect on Behavior Intention This study concludes that students’ intention to use Halodoc telemedicine services is mainly influenced by perceived risk, while trust strengthens perceived usefulness. However, perceived usefulness does not significantly influence behavioral intention. Therefore, reducing perceived risk, strengthening user trust, and improving the functional value of telemedicine services are essential for encouraging sustainable use.
