Abstract

Tyalashes Studio is an MSME business that operates in the beauty treatment sector, offering various beauty care services such as facial care, eye care, nail care and body care. The main problem faced by Tyalashes Studio is not achieving the sales target for beauty care products. To overcome this, this research aims to provide product recommendations using a Collaborative Filtering approach with the Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) algorithm to produce accurate product recommendations. SVD was chosen because it is able to identify hidden patterns in rating data and provide relevant recommendations even though the data is sparse. The research dataset consists of 300 rating data and 7 products, which are divided into 70% training data and 30% testing data. The evaluation results show an RMSE accuracy of 0.9324. It is hoped that this recommendation system can help Tyalashes Studio increase its sales target achievement.
