Abstract

This study aims to analyze English teacher’s strategies in applying Islamic values in English Language Teaching (ELT) at MAS Al-Falah Padang. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach to obtain an in-depth understanding of the teaching practices implemented by the teachers. The subjects of this study were English teacher at MAS Al-Falah Padang, while the object of the study focused on the strategies used to integrate Islamic values into English learning activities. The data were collected through classroom observations, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed by applying data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that English teachers integrated Islamic values through several strategies, such as selecting teaching materials containing Islamic moral messages, using examples and contexts related to students’ Islamic daily lives, fostering religious attitudes during the learning process, and embedding moral and character values in language activities. The integration of Islamic values in ELT not only enhanced students’ English learning but also contributed to the development of their character and religious attitudes. Therefore, integrating Islamic values in English teaching can be an effective approach to achieving holistic educational goals.
