Abstract
English textbooks have varied language skills, which can help students be more active in developing language skills. The aim of this research is to describe the types of language skills that are dominant in textbooks “English for Nusantara”. A type of descriptive qualitative research uses content analysis to analyze type language skills. The check sheet is used as a research tool. Reading, identifying, classifying, and analyzing language skills are used for data collection techniques. The results of this study show that the four language skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing in the English for Nusantara textbooks were not evenly distributed in the chapter. The dominant skills are reading and listening. It can be concluded that the four English language skills have not been fully spread, based on Alan Cunningsworth.
