Abstract
The aims of this study to observe the implementation of CLT in English language teaching, identify the challenges faced by teachers in its application, and explore ways to overcome these challenges. English language skills are crucial aspects of learning as they involve speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Teachers are responsible for implementing students' English language skills in the classroom and are expected to be facilitators and motivators for students. The research methodology involves observation, interviews, and documentation. Observations are conducted using observation checklists to observe classroom activities. Subsequently, the researcher conducts interviews with two English teachers at the respective school. The findings of this study indicate that many of the activities outlined in the teacher's learning plan are not fully implemented in the classroom. During the learning process, teachers at SMAN 11 SIJUNJUNG school engage in communicative language teaching activities like as discussion, storytelling, and responses and questions. And communicative language education at SMAN 11 SIJUNJUNG has yet to be fully implemented in the classroom.
