Abstract

In increasing the profitability of the company must pay attention to the capital structure, company size and activity ratio. This is in accordance with signal theory which provides information to outsiders about how things are going inside the company, the higher the level of profitability, the more positive signals are given to outsiders. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of capital structure, company size on the profitability of companies listed onJakarta Islamic Index70 (JII70). The research object in this study was JII70 with sampling using the technique purposive sampling. This study uses a quantitative approach using secondary data, data information obtained through the idx.co.id website. The data analysis technique was carried out in the form of descriptive statistical analysis, and using panel data regression analysis using Eviews 12. The results show that capital structure has a negative and significant effect on profitability, company size has no significant effect on profitability and activity ratios have a positive and significant effect on profitability with an R² value of 89,01% Keywords:Capital Structure, Company Size, Activity Ratio, Profitability
