Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika di SMA Negeri 9 Padang terdapat beberapa peserta didik yang mengalami kesulitan belajar terutama dalam memahami soal-soal matematika sehingga mengalami kesalahan dalam menjawab soal. Fokus penelitian yang diteliti dalam skripsi ini adalah: (1) analisis kesalahan-kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan soal HOTS materi Pertumbuhan, Peluruhan, Bunga dan Pertumbuhan, Peluruhan, Bunga dan Anuitas, (2) pada peserta didik kelas XI SMA N 9 Padang Tahun Pelajaran 2022/2023. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian ini sebagai berikut: (1) untuk mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis kesalahan peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan soal HOTS berdasarkan kriteria Watson, (2) untuk mengidentifikasi apa saja faktor yang menyebabkan peserta didik melakukan kesalahan dalam menyelesaikan soal HOTS. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes diagnostik, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini melalui 3 tahap yaitu, reduksi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi (kesimpulan). Hasil penelitian menyatakan: (1) jenis kesalahan yang dilakukanoleh peserta didik adalah data tidak tepat/inappropriate data (id), prosedur tidak tepat/inappropriate procedure (ip), data hilang/omitted data (od), kesimpulan hilang/omitted conclusion (oc), konflik level respon/response level conflict (rlc), manipulasi tidak langsung/undirected manipulation(um), masalah hirarki keterampilan/skills hierarchy problem (shp) dan selain ketujuh kategori di atas/above other (ao). (2) persentase kesalahan dari setiap kategori kesalahan yaitu, kesalahan kategori data tidak tepat ada 8 peserta didik dengan persentase 26,66%, kesalahan kategori data tidak tepat ada 15 peserta didik dengan persentase 50%, kesalahan kategori data hilang ada 5 peserta didik dengan persentase 16,66%, kesalahan kategori kesimpulan hilang ada 9 peserta didik dengan persentase 30%, kesalahan kategori konflik level respon ada 6 peserta didik dengan persentase 20%, kesalahan kategori manipulasi tidak langsung ada 9 peserta didik dengan persentase 30%, kesalahan kategori masalah hierarki keterampilan ada 11 peserta didik dengan persentase 36,66%, kesalahan kategori selain ketujuh kesalahan ada 8 peserta didik dengan persentase 26,66%. Mathematical learning in SMA Negeri 9 Fields There are students who have difficulty learning, especially in understanding mathematical issues, so they make errors in answering questions. The focus of the research studied in this thesis is: (1) the analysis of the mistakes made by the pupils in solving the questions of the HOTS material Growth, Splitting, Flowers and Growth, Splitting, Flowers and Annuities; (2) in pupils of the eleventh grade of high school N 9 in the 2022-2023 school year. The objectives of this study are as follows: (1) to identify the types of errors made by the students in solving the HOTS question based on the Watson criteria; and (2) to identify any factors that cause the students to make errors in resolving HOTS questions. This type of research is quantitative. Data collection techniques include diagnostic tests, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis in this study involves three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and verification (kesimpulan). The results of the study stated: (1) the types of errors committed by the pupils are inaccurate data/inappropriate data (id), inadequate procedure/inapropriate procedure (ip), data lost/omitted data (od), missing conclusion/omitted conclusion (oc), conflict level response/response level conflict (rlc), manipulation indirect/undirected manipulation (um), skill hierarchy problem (shp), and in addition to the seven categories above (ao). (2) the error percentage of each error category, i.e., if the error of the data category is incorrect, there are 8 pupils with 26.66% of the error, 15 pupils are incorrect with 50%, if the data category is missing, there are 5 pupils at 16.66%, if the conclusion category is missing, there are 9 pupils and 30%, if the conflict level of the response is missing, there are 6 pupils as a 20% of the mistake, if the manipulation category is missing, there are nine pupils and 30%, if there is an error in the hierarchical problem category of skills, there are 11 pupils who have 36.66%, and if there is a mistake in the category, besides the seven mistakes, there are eight pupils that have 26.66%.
