Abstract

Yola Yolanda 1414050118. Students’ Perception On Task Given by EFL Teacher Through Blended Learning Method At Senior High School 2 Pulau punjung Dharmasraya This research was done to discover students’ perception on task given by EFL teacher through blended learning method at senior high school 2 Pulau Punjung because all of the students followed the teaching and learning process by using blended learning. The problems are some students felt dificult when studied through online learning, had problems with a lot of online subjects, and had limited time to study. This research was a survey research. The data were collected by usingquestionnaire. The population of this research was eleventh grades senior high school 2 Pulau Punjung. The researcher used random sampling technique to determine the sample. The sample was 96 respondents in academic year 2020/2021. To analyze the data, the researcher calculated the percentage of each statement given by the students, found out the mean of each sub variable and made conclusion with level rating quality. The result of the research: The results of the study: in the first perception, that the task given by the EFL teacher using the BL method was fun with the highest percentage of 65.6% strongly disagree. The second perception that the task given by the EFL teacher using the BL method are not fun with the highest percentage of 70% agree. The third perception that the task given by the EFL teacher using the BL method was challenging with the highest percentage of 59.4% strongly disagree. The four perceptions that the tasks given by the EFL teacher using the BL method were harder to understand with the highest percent of 53,1% agree . The fifth perception that task given by the EFL teacher using the BL with the highest percentage of 56,3% strongly disagree . The total average percentage of the 15 items of student perception is 31.9% with the option strongly disagree. It can be concluded that students have a negative perception of the use of blended learning methods by EFL teachers on task given at SMAN 2 Pulau Punjung Dharmasraya
