Abstract

Location selection is an important factor in determining the site of a café business because each location has different characteristics and needs to be evaluated based on multiple criteria. In practice, the location selection process involves various considerations, making a structured approach necessary to support the assessment process. This study aims to design a web-based Decision Support System for selecting café business locations in Agam Regency, implement the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) methods, and obtain the ranking results of location alternatives. The study uses eight criteria and six alternatives. The AHP method is used to determine the importance weights of the criteria based on expert respondents' pairwise comparison assessments, while the TOPSIS method is used to determine the preference values and ranking of alternatives based on the criterion weights and the values of each alternative. The system was developed using the Waterfall model and implemented as a web-based application. The results show that the AHP-TOPSIS methods were successfully implemented in the Decision Support System. The validation results indicate that the system calculations are consistent with the manual calculations, while Black Box Testing shows that the system functions operate according to the design. The User Acceptance Testing results obtained an acceptance percentage of 89.4%, categorized as Good. Based on the ranking results, Gedung Pasar Padang Luar (A3) obtained the highest preference value of 0.760258, making it the top recommendation among the six alternatives analyzed. These results indicate that the application of AHP-TOPSIS can support the café business location selection process based on predetermined criteria in a more structured manner
