Abstract

Scholarship management in higher education plays an important role in supporting equitable access to education and improving the quality of human resources. However, scholarship management at UIN Imam Bonjol Padang still faces various challenges, such as manual administrative processes, the use of separate Google Forms for each scholarship scheme, the lack of a centralized database, and the potential duplication of scholarship recipients, even though regulations explicitly prohibit students from receiving more than one scholarship. This study aims to design and develop a web-based multi-scheme scholarship management information system that is integrated, adaptive, and capable of supporting transparent, accountable, and efficient scholarship management at UIN Imam Bonjol Padang. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the Waterfall system development model, which consists of requirement analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance stages. The system was developed using the PHP programming language, MySQL database, and system modeling with Unified Modeling Language (UML). The results show that the developed system is able to integrate various scholarship schemes into a single platform, simplify the registration and selection processes, improve the accuracy of recipient data, and prevent the duplication of scholarship recipients. In addition, the system enhances transparency for students and facilitates scholarship monitoring, documentation, and reporting for administrators. Therefore, the web-based multi-scheme scholarship management information system can serve as an effective solution to support the digital transformation of student services at UIN Imam Bonjol Padang.
