Abstract

Scholarships are assistance given to someone who is economically disadvantaged who is still undergoing education. This scholarship is given to support the smooth running of their education. The Smart Indonesia Program (PIP) is a government program that aims to provide cash assistance for education to elementary, middle, high school students and those in college aged 6 to 21 years who have a low economic background based on criteria. The criteria used in this study are parental income, parental occupation, coming from a poor family, distance to school and means of transportation. The selection process for prospective scholarship recipients is still manual so it takes a long time and can lead to errors in decision making. The purpose of this study is to build a decision support system using the web-based weighted product method in recommending prospective PIP scholarship recipients in 2023. Weighted Product in this study is to get better results and assessments can be carried out more objectively. From the results of testing using Black Box Testing, the overall system runs well.
