Abstract
This study aims to find differences in student learning outcomes between students who are taught using Think-Talk-Write Strategy and without using Think- Talk-Write Strategy in the tenth grade of MAN 2 Padang. This type of research is experimental research. The population of this study were all students of class X MAN 2 Padang consisting of 461 students and divided into 13 classes. Then the researcher took a sample by means of cluster sampling. The result is class X.9 as an experimental class consisting of 36 students and class X.8 as a control class consisting of 35 students. In collecting data, the researcher used a writing test. The test is given after the treatment is given for two meetings to see the difference in the use of Think-Talk-Write Strategy. The results showed that the average score of students in the experimental class (83,76) was higher than the average score of students in the control class (77,23). This proves that there is a significant influence on students' writing ability. It can be concluded that there is a significant difference in student achievement between those taught using Think-Talk-write strategy and conventionally taught in class X MAN 2 Padang.
