Abstract
This research aimed to find out whether or not the correlation between students’ learning styles and their speaking ability at tenth class of MA Muhammadiyah. The method used is quantitative correlation research. The population of this research consist of all the tenth grade students’ in MA Muhammadiyah Talu, West Pasaman academic year 2022/2023, consists of two classes of 48 students. because relatively small population, the researchers use saturation sampling and determined the entire population as a sample. Data were collected with questionnaire and speaking test. Questionnaire is used to know the learning style of the students and speaking test is used to know the speaking score of tenth students at MA Muhammadiyah Talu. The result of the research that R_xy lower than R_table or R_xy < 〖 R〗_table = 0.146 < 0,287. Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected. there is no significance correlation between students’ learning style and their speaking ability at tenth class of MA Muhammadiyah Talu, West Pasaman. The conclusion it shows that there is a very low correlation between two variables.
