Abstract

The rapid development in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has had a significant impact on various sectors, including education. The implementation of ICT in the form of e-learning has transformed traditional learning into a more flexible and accessible online learning experience. However, before implementing e-learning, it is important to measure the readiness level for its adoption. Measuring the readiness level for e-learning can help determine the required resources and assess its potential impact. This research aims to determine the readiness level of the Faculty of Science and Technology at UIN Imam Bonjol Padang in implementing e-learning and to identify factors that are ready and factors that are not ready for the adoption of e-learning in the Faculty of Science and Technology. This study measures the readiness level for e-learning implementation using the E-learning Readiness framework by Aydin and Tasci, which assesses four main factors: human factors, self-development factors, technology factors, and innovation factors. Data collection was carried out through interviews with two respondents and a questionnaire consisting of 14 questions distributed to 213 respondents. The research results indicate that the Faculty of Science and Technology obtained an e-learning readiness index with an overall score of x̅=3.87. This suggests that the Faculty of Science and Technology is prepared to implement e-learning but still requires some improvement in each of its factors.
